Joe is the co-founder of The Teenage Market, a national initiative which gives young people a free platform to showcase their creative talents. To date, the initiative has delivered over 300 events in 40 locations across the UK, supporting thousands of young people in the process. As a result of this work, Joe was presented with a ‘Special Recognition’ award for his contribution to the markets industry as part of the Great British High Street competition in 2015.
Joe has also pioneered a number of innovative projects in his hometown of Stockport, which included leading on the town’s ‘Portas Pilot’ programme of town centre centre investment. This led to the creation of a new brand identity for Stockport Old Town and the development of a programme of events and festivals, including the popular ‘Foodie Friday’ event which won the “Best Event” award at the Manchester Food & Drink Festival in 2016. Joe brings with him tremendous passion and enthusiasm for improving our high streets, as well as the experience of leading positive change in a town centre by working with a range of local stakeholders.
